Integrity and Impartiality Policy

In this topic:

Participation in any kind of business or activity which competes with or is detrimental to AACI, or which may affect the impartiality and integrity of AACI or the employees concerned, is prohibited.

No employee nor subcontractor of AACI shall at any time participate, either directly or indirectly, in any kind of business or activity which competes with or is detrimental to AACI, or which may affect the impartiality and integrity of AACI, the employee and subcontractor.

No employee nor subcontractor of AACI shall use any information in a way that may reasonably create a basis for questioning the integrity of AACI. Board of Directors membership or similar functions of an employee in governing bodies of organizations/institutions of a commercial nature shall be approved. If the organizations/institutions could be perceived as a competitor to AACI, such engagement must be approved by the Group CEO.

No employee or subcontractor of AACI shall hold any financial or other interest, either directly or indirectly, in any business or activity that could reasonably cast doubt on their integrity, impartiality, or that of AACI. Should there be any uncertainty regarding such interests, employees or subcontractors shall consult the Chief Regulatory Officer for guidance.

Investments in equity funds and similar indirect investment vehicles are not considered to fall within the scope of this prohibition. However, the obligation to disclose relevant interests extends to investments, board memberships, and other affiliations held by their spouse, cohabitant, or children.

AACI shall not engage in any work if it has business, personal, or family connections with the relevant healthcare organization. This policy equally applies to AACI’s surveyors and subcontractors.

Surveyors and subcontractors working for AACI are prohibited from undertaking work for other companies outside the AACI Group unless explicitly approved by the Group CEO on a case-by-case basis.

NOTE: This policy applies to the certification of quality management systems to fulfill the requirements of Clause 5.2 Management of Impartiality in the ISO/IEC 17021-1:2015 standard. The responsible legal entity for this requirement is AACI d.o.o.
