Technical Reviewer

Location: Hybrid / Remote | Working Hours: 7.5 hrs/day | Job Type: Consultant / Contract

Role Overview

As a Technical Reviewer, you’ll be at the core of our quality assurance engine—ensuring that all accreditation and certification activities are conducted with accuracy, objectivity, and compliance to AACI’s policies and global standards.

Your work will shape decisions that affect real outcomes in healthcare quality, patient safety, and organizational performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Evaluate survey planning, timelines, and execution
  • Review surveyor reports and assess the strength of value propositions
  • Provide evidence-based certification issuance recommendations
  • Monitor and support the closure of nonconformities
  • Ensure full compliance with AACI’s internal procedures and international standards
  • Collaborate with internal teams for continuous process improvement

What You’ll Need

We’re looking for experienced professionals with a strong clinical background and deep expertise in quality systems.

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in healthcare or clinical practice (e.g., MD, DDM, MBBS, MHA, MPH, or equivalent)
  • Certified Lead Surveyor from an ISQua-accredited body
  • Certified ISO 9001 Auditor through an IAF-recognized certification authority
  • Strong knowledge of ISQua standards for organizations, standards development, and surveyor training
  • Demonstrated understanding of ISO 17021-1:2015
  • Fluency in quality management principles, terminology, and methodologies
  • Familiarity with the process approach and risk-based thinking
  • Clear understanding of scope definition within a QMS framework
  • Clean criminal background check (mandatory)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and standard software tools
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English

What Is an AACI Surveyor?

An AACI Surveyor is a trained healthcare professional responsible for assessing the performance of healthcare organizations against AACI’s internationally recognized standards. Surveyors are part of an elite, globally distributed team of experts who ensure healthcare facilities meet the highest benchmarks in safety, quality, and operational excellence.

Our surveyor team is composed of:

  • Senior medical professionals (Physicians, Nurses, Healthcare Executives)
  • Healthcare managers and administrators
  • Specialists in physical environment and life safety

All surveyors must possess:

  • A minimum of 10 years of hospital experience
  • Recent and relevant clinical or administrative expertise
  • A deep understanding of healthcare accreditation frameworks and quality management systems
